All Games played with 14-minute halves, stopped clock.
Halftime is 4 minutes.
Overtime is 2 minutes start/stop. 2nd OT is sudden death first to score wins.
All decisions are final by referees- no protests.
Each team will be allowed 3 timeouts per game, one additional timeout for OT.
Basketballs will be provided for 3rd and 4th grade (27.5), for grades 5 and 6 basketballs not provided.
Awards will be given for 1st through 3rd place. Only 12 awards per team.
Free Throws: Bonus shots will be awarded on the seventh team foul; double bonus on the tenth team foul each half. 3rd and 4th grade can move up at referee’s discretion.
Technical Fouls & Intentional Flagrant Fouls: Two points and the ball will be awarded to the opposing team (do not shoot free throws on technical fouls).
Ejection Policy: Any player, coach or spectator who has been ejected from a contest is declared to be ineligible for the remainder of that contest AND the next scheduled contest. Any player, coach or spectator ejected for flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct will be ejected for the remainder of the entire competition.
DEFENENSES ALLOWED-Boys and Girls
3rd Grade - Person to Person defense only. No Zones, Double teams or full court press. “Help” Defense is allowed, but once the recovery is made, the helping defender MUST retreat to their original player.Warning for first offense; technical for repeated offenses after discussion with coach.
4th Grade - Person to Person defense only. Full court press last 2 minutes of each half (unless up 20+ pts). “Help” Defense is allowed, but once the recovery is made, the helping defender MUST retreat to their original player. Warning for first offense; technical for repeated offenses after discussion with coach.
5th Grade - Person to Person defense only. Full court press allowed all game (unless team up 20+ pts)
6th grade - no restrictions on full or half court defenses (unless team up 20+ pts)
